The Neuroaid & Research Foundation proudly conducted an “Ergonomics Awareness Workshop” at Manav Ashray, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi, with the active participation of its dedicated physiotherapists.

Workshop Overview

Understanding the importance of ergonomics in daily life, especially for individuals spending extended periods sitting, resting, or caring for loved ones, NRF organized this interactive workshop to address common postural issues and musculoskeletal discomforts frequently experienced by the residents and attendants at Manav Ashray.

Key Activities

  • Introduction:
    The session began with an insightful introduction highlighting the significance of good posture, proper body mechanics, and the long-term health benefits of adopting ergonomic practices in everyday routines.
  • Explaining Risks & Demonstrating: The workshop included an engaging discussion on the negative consequences of poor posture, such as back and neck pain, fatigue, and joint problems, followed by practical strategies and visual examples for maintaining correct posture during sitting, sleeping, and lifting.

Hands-On:
Participants were guided through simple and effective stretching and mobility exercises tailored for daily relief. Safe techniques for moving patients, making adjustments to chairs and beds, and routines to prevent injuries were demonstrated and practiced collectively.

Impact & Engagement

The workshop fostered enthusiastic participation, with attendees eagerly practicing the demonstrated techniques and asking questions about their individual concerns. The facilitators provided personalized guidance, conducted mini-assessments, and distributed informative handouts in Hindi to ensure continued application of ergonomic principles beyond the session.
